Hi all,

I have read through the I-751 guide ( http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...p;page=751guide ) about what we need to have when we file but my wife was wondering if we needed any documents from the Japanese government. I didn't see anything in the guide about it but I felt it would be a good idea to ask anyway. Are there any documents that she might need from her home country either to file the I-751 or to take to the interview? ( Birth Cert, tax records, etc. ) We want to know because she is back visiting family right now and it would be a good time to get them if they are needed.

Thank you for any replies! :)

The I-751 is about demonstrating your current ongoing bonafide marriage relationship ... not with her life prior to the marriage or her income or tax status before becoming a resident here...

YMMV

Hi,

I didn't include any documents from the Japanese government. You don't have to! :)
