I said "care to give details". I only told you that if it was ME I wouldnt have such strong opinions about something I know little about. So what I was implying was that it seems rather ignorant to have such strong opinions about something you know little about, thats all nothing else. As I said before you are entitled to your opinions, regardless to how little you know on this subject.

Online gathering place for 'lefties'? What are you on Danno? Most things are not ideologically defined and most people don't visit websites on the basis of whether they are being Liberally or Conservatively run. Most people don't base their decisions whether or not to read/watch or listen to entertainment media on whether they are Liberal or Conservative either. Being aware of bias is a good thing, obsessing over it quite ridiculous.

Of course it's not unusual to look for people you have things in common with that is so obvious it goes without saying. However, there is this ridiculous idea being put forward by a few people that one of the main things people look for as a common denominator is political ideology. That is patently absurd, absurd in the extreme in fact. For example, I like hiking so of course, I am going to look for people that hike and like outdoorsy type activities. However, I am not going to look for a politically orientated hiking group - moreover nor am I likely to find one and when I do go out hiking I am not likely to strike up a conversation that starts with, "So, are you a lefty? If you voted GOP I refuse to talk to you". This is ridiculous on so many levels that I can't believe it needs to be pointed out.
