Hello All,

Am not sure if this is the right thread to put my ques...i apologize for the admin/board.

This is the situation:

1. My mother is currently here in the USA as a visitor visa...and has 6 months to stay...she is holding multiple entry being given by the USEMB Manila.

2. Today, we received an email from the NVC saying that her petition from her brother (which the waiting period till the visa becomes available is almost 23 years) is now available and they will mail all the letters to her brother who is the petitioner.

3. I would like to know what are documents that we will be expecting from the NVC and their respective fees? Mind if you guys can share some helpful links?

4. How much time are we looking here after submitting back and forth to the NVC all the paperworks to them after its completion till we hear from them re: interview schedule ?

5. Is it possible to process her medical and interview here in the USA while she is currently here instead of letting her fly back to Manila to attend the medical and interview?

Thanks a lot.

So her visa petition was approved?

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

What document in paticular was approved?

If I am not mistaken, if she is approved for a visa number, and in the US legally, she can process here in the US.

Is there a visa available for her, or is the petition approved?

Did your uncle submit the petition back in 1987(+/-) or more recently?
