Hello,

My greencard was approved last week, so I am waiting for it. The problem is that I have a job offer but no greencard to show =)

The immigration officer didn't put that stamp that shows you can work on my passport, but he didn't take away my EAD either.

Could I work showing it? He said I shouldn't, but I don't have any other paper that tells I can work legally.

Thank you for your help.

If your GC is already approved, then you will find, when you receive it, that the "Resident Since" date is before your first day of employment. That means you're not really using the EAD for official permission to work, you're only using it to placate the HR department of your new job. It shouldn't be a problem.

DON'T PANIC
