I have to admit, some of the drama in other sections does intrigue me.

... Like the ones J & B mentioned.

Interesting how others view things.

I read the Baby Topic too, for the heck of it.

I probably spend 80% of my time on VJ here in the Canada forum. Sometimes I venture into the K-1 and AOS forums, just because I've been through both of those processes and think I can offer some help every now and then. I also like to click on the hot topics on the main page and read the interesting things people like to talk about.

There are definitely some interesting and sad themes that get repeated in other forums, especially that major changes one. Things in there either anger me or make me sad. Usually it involves a naive foreign girl who took too long to find out who her husband really is. They become possessive and controlling, uncomfortable with them practicing their religion or speaking their language. Or sometimes its really silly. Did you guys read that thread a while back where a man wanted to divorce his American wife because she farts in her sleep? But of course, he wanted to stay in the US.

I used to get around on VJ, but yeah...lots of what I see elsewhere appalls me, so I mainly stick to Canada forum. Sometimes I'll poke my nose in the CR-1 forum, and I'll usually glance at Off-topic every day or so...but the Canada forum really rocks. It fulfills all my message board needs. :)

I hear you man. Some of the 'off topic" stuff is out there for sure. And some of those political rants are really messed up haha I love a great political debate and have been immersed in American politics for the last several years but I'm not a fan of many of those forums/boards.

Canada forum is great.

Awwwww. Thanks to those kind words, guys. :luv: That was so nice of you. Sometimes you take so much ####### that you begin to wonder why you're here. The odd word of encouragement and thanks goes a long way to bringing you back into focus.

I think the people in the Canada forum are a great crowd. You're the reason why I spend most of my time in here. There are also some really nice people on the rest of the board..... interspersed amongst the crazies. I wish they'd post here too. (I mean the really nice people.... not the crazies! )

Mainly, I spend my time in the Canada forum. You be mah homeys. :hehe: Sometimes the Moving to America forum has the odd good thread. Mostly not. I kind of randomly end up in the other forums as the reports we receive dictate, so while I'm there I'll take a quick look around to see if there's anything interesting or which needs addressing. If I see a topic that's getting a lot of posts in a rapid manner, 99% of the time there are violations taking place so I will pop into those also. I mainly use the "View New Posts" utility to get a quick overview of the board.

Occasionally I click on "View new threads" and it takes me to a list of recent postings, which leads me to some serious ####*d up threads! I still can't get over that woman, out of the goodness of her heart, took in a destitute, ungrateful wheelbound woman with MS at the airport (who was sent home to the US from a foreign country, after she was dumped by her MENA boyfriend she met online) and found herself in an awkward position of not being able to get rid of her.

 I missed that thread! If you tell me which forum it's in, and about which month, I can see if it was removed or has just fallen to the bottom of the pile.

I read the Canada forum... I know, I'm an outsider here.

I find it similar to the UK forum, what can I say...

Nooooooooooooooo. I enjoy reading your posts here, Gemmie. I used to post in the UK forum quite a bit, but then it became a ghost town. Now it's picked back up again but I don't know the people. I randomly pop back in when my friends are back in town.

Did you guys read that thread a while back where a man wanted to divorce his American wife because she farts in her sleep? But of course, he wanted to stay in the US.

:o

I missed that one too. I tend to stay away from the Effects of Major Changes forum unless we start getting reports. It's a little too depressing. lol

Compared to other regional forums, we're so normal. We need some drama here.

 I really doubt that the denizens of this forum really want any drama. Last time I brought some OT drama down to the Canada forum, I thought they were going to string me up and post me up on a pike.

Who doesn't?

I assume I do...though I would have to be awake to know. Or be told. If I'm not told I fart in my sleep, does it mean that I don't? If a tree farts in the forest, does it ever smell?

What sucks the most is when you get into s really good train wreck...Like the one i found the other day ...

The USC was trying to get advice on how to get her husband DEPORTED. (Send the broken toy back!!..he is trying to bring the rest of his family and she is pissed and wants the whole flock to leave!!)

Think I can find it ANYWHERE now???? I 'thought' I knew what forum...damn...it is like reading a book only to find someone ripped out the last chapter!!!!
