The naturalization paper is a piece of #######. They just glued my wifes picture on it.

One way to look at it, it only cost 275 bucks for naturalization, that remaining 400 bucks is for that piece of #######.

Not everyone lives across the street from their field office, we could make it in one day, but a long day since we had to get up at 2:00 AM. Wife's friend had to take a train and pay super high hotel rates in Chicago downtown, sometimes one night, mostly two. She would have slept in the train station, but they kick everyone out and lock the doors at night. Too many homeless I guess.

Having to send that piece of ####### to the DOS and wondering if you ever will get it back was also a bit of stress, when it does come back, then you feel it's over. Also an empty feeling leaving your home without a green card, but that doesn't last long. Wife also saw our huge stack of evidence, made us wonder how they could have misplaced it twice. But it basically was each piece of evidence in triplicate. Thought about the hours we spend at our copy machine and scanner.

Congrats!  It must be a fantastic feeling to know that you are finally done with this long, crazy process.

I cannot wait until that day comes for my wife and I. It will be so nice to forget about USCIS forever.

Nice to know I won't have to kiss butte and not reply to the IOs and info operators with yes sir. You are correct when you f--ked up numerous things during the 3 year process causing us grief and more delays.

Try this.

We have to fly over to Oahu the day before the interview, oath. Spent a hundred on taxis. Stay in a hotel for 1 night and buy food.

Total cost of the trip without shopping is about.$800.

Total cost for immigration trips during the process was over $5,000. They Fooked up biometrics for AOS and my wife and daughter had to do it 3 times =s 3 trips. Total trips for AOS, ROC and USC was 7 trips.

Only positive thing is they do the interview and oath in the same day.

I do have to say USCIS was very nice to us after screwing up biometrics and causing us so much money for trips.

They even sent a limo to pick us up at the airport the last trip!

Dakine- Wow.... That is a lot to spend over the years just for going to your "local office"!

Glad that they somewhat "compensated" you for having the oath and interview on the same day.

Lol..Hope you enjoyed your limo ride..(Lol...with the limo...wishful thinking, I suppose. Or better yet, they should have given you a private airplane...lol....)....

Hope you don't mind too, that I added your timeline (based on your signature) to the N-400 September 2009 filers list...here....thanks....
