We have sent in all the paperwork and payments for the Adjustment Of Status, Work Permit, and Travel Document along with all the other documents that needed to be filled out again. We have the biometrics meeting on Feb. 2nd and it asks us to bring all of the previous approvals we received and Monica's passport for identification. Do we need to know anything else before going? Sorry just a little nervous as this is the first time doing this and do not know what to expect.

Thanks,

Chad

I gave the lady my passport and she looked at me and said, do you have any state ID? Which I had my WI Drivers License. You should be able to use your passport though as it says so in the letter I received. And yes, you need the biometrics letter as they stamp it and write on it. She asked for my originally marriage certificate. That was it. Good Luck!

Chad ~ it was super easy. We were in and out of the building in 10 min. The woman that helped us spoke Spanish and turned out to be Peruvian so Luis got to chit chat with her, otherwise we would have been in and out in 5 min,

Now's the waiting game, but it's not so bad.

It is really unreal that this is so close even though it has taken this much time. It was so worth the time and effort. I was very worried a couple of times during the process but looking back on it now really seems so wonderful. Monica gets a little home sick with her parents and family once in a while but that is to be expected and all I can do is try and comfort her. I personally couldn't be happier that everything was this smooth. I am hoping in 2 years when we have to reapply for the adjustment of status it goes this smoothly also.

Thanks,

Chad

Today we received another Notice of Action.

Transfer Notice, The case has been transferred to the California Service Center.

The question I have is do we keep the Biometrics appointment that has been set up all ready?

Thanks,

Chad

Yes, go get your biometrics done as stated in the appointment letter. The case being transferred to CSC is a separate thing, but if you don't go for your biometrics, your case may be abandoned.

Now as far as your case being transferred to CSC, there is a good possibility that you may not have an interview to get your GC. Good Luck!
