in most states child support is petitioned for by the mother with a city/county level agency. you should check with your city/county level court system to find your local agency, submit your relevant information such as name, identifying info, wife's name, etc, to see if a case has been filed naming you within your state. in most states the amount of the support is calculated by a formula that is given in state law. in pennsylvania the typical support order for 1 child is for 18-21% of your after tax income.

if your wife is hiding from you, she may have already filed for divorce. again, check with city/county court to see if a divorce action has been filed.
