Fix EAD guide about JFK stamp

I was looking for something else and wandered in the the EAD guide for K1 holders and the first thing it mentions is the JFK stamp, which has been invalid for about a year. Can we fix the guide and cause a bit less confusion ??

I can't confirm it, but the stamp is only good for 90 days anyway which pretty much makes it useless.

There is no document that actually says " The stamp is invalid " However the newest I9 handbook does not reference the stamp as an acceptable form of EAD in relation to K visas. Therefore most on this site conclude that it is invalid for a holder of a K related visa. It is likely still valid for L,F, and J visas.

Actually, its more then just those 3 visas, there are about 10 visa types that have been listed as able to use that stamp, the K visa is not listed.

This is still on the "official" visa journey documentation, despite not being true, and not even able to be passed off since the I-9 change in Q1 2009.

Can all references to EAD stamps at POE PLEASE be removed from the official Visa Journey pages??

Captain - here are the listed criteria for employment now: form 9-1 "Employment Verification Eligibility" http://www.uscis.gov...es/form/i-9.pdf

All applicants for employment in the US now must provide either a document from Column A, or a document from both Column B and C. In column A the employment stamp is only accepted as valid for a non-immigrant on an employment based visa who has a named employer sponsoring their visa. A K-1 does not fit that category and would not have any of the other documents listed in Column A. They need to have a document from both Column B and Column C - proof of identification (government issued photo ID, the type of which is specified) and Documents that establish employment eligibility . While there are a number listed, a K-1 would only have access to an EAD specifically issued by USCIS. A K-1 is not identified as being authorized to work with the work authorization stamp; only the employment based visa non-immigrant is so authorized.

Its been discussed here in a pinned topic.

Essentially some rules changed (last year I believe) - mainly on the I-9 requirements that clarifies what is/isn't acceptable work authorization. (Basically - K-entrants, and many others, must apply for and receive the EAD card and an EAD stamp on an I-94/I-94A are not acceptable.
