Hello everyone! We just received NOA1, logged in on uscis.gov to see what's going on...My question is do I need to create an account on uscis.gov in order to see the touches, cause I have not created one yet and I can simply insert the case number in "Check my case" (without having an account) and it just shows the stage we are at (like "Initial review"), but it doesn't show any touches..are they only visible when you have created an account?

The second question is, in order to create an account.. who can actually create an account? Only petitioner (cause you need to write your name there in the form)? For example, I am the beneficiary (foreign fiance), can I create an account to track our case? OR should it be created by the petitioner? THANKS SO MUCH FOR YOUR HELP!

Touches are tracked by monitoring the "last update" field

anyone can theoretically create an account as all you need is a valid case number

YMMV

Nop, what you see online about your case status when you enter your receipt number is still the same when you create an account online ....

Thank you! Can't seem to find "last update" field though..hmmm it just says "Your case status for K-1...initial review".

When you log into your account, you need to click on the "my portfolio" and if you have added your receipt number to your portfolio, there is a little table that has "last updated" as a column heading and it will list the date your file was "touched".

Yes, you do need an account. If you're worried to make one as the beneficiary ask your fiance to make one and share the password to you, or ask if it's ok if you set it up and share the password to them.

You'll have to share a lot more soon! May as well start now! hehe
