i was curious on how well that the USCIS immigrations "CASE STATUS SYSTEM" on there website works. i have recieved no updates or touches. has any of you guys had your NOA2 approved without seeing an update on the website or getting an email or SMS? thanks. how long does it usually take for the NOA2 to be processed from the Vermont Service Center? i got the NOA1 on NOV 4 and have heard nothing.

sorry but the wait is just killing us!!! any advice on the above questions would be greatly appreciated based on your own experiences. thanks in advace for your help and time to post godbless.

Ultimatly i think theres just no way you can predict the date they will finish it by.

My NOA1 was oct 27, and NOA2 was December 28.

I had one or 2 touches, around Nov 2, and then again on nov 6- and from then on, i had no touches until i read the email that it was approved on the 28th. Was checkin every 2-3 days for touches. I even sent in a replacement G325 for my fiancee, and it probably arrived around Nov.6, but im not sure. Still not sure if it even cought up with my 129F or not.

But again, i still think its practically all just a dice roll every day that passes.

Any society that would give up a little liberty to gain a little security will deserve neither and lose both.

Time to relax. Last time I checked the USCIS web site we were still pending on the I130 and I129F. But we got the hard copy NOA2s, and Trisha has been in the US since March and has had a GC since Aug. So the do not rely upon the date. Key is your in the system.

Even with the AOS and EAD we did not show up in the system until it was approved but we always had our hard copy NOAs.

the noa1 is fast because it's just an acknowledgement receipt of your application...the noa2 is notice of approval which means it comes out after your application goes though evaluation...if you will look at the timelines of most people here on VJ, it comes to an average of 4-6 months...but others could go as long as over a year...depending on how complete and organized your application was.

god bless and good luck!

A good thing to also keep in mind is that the Case Status Update isn't always kept up to date. If the information is updated and you receive the notification, well and good. If you don't get a notification, it really doesn't mean that they aren't working on your file - just that the system isn't being updated to reflect that they are. There have been VJ members who have gone through the whole process without a touch or without an update -so not getting an update doesn't mean anything significant. Getting an update is like icing on the cake.

Good lucki.
