It doesn't have to be political class anymore. It now refers to the "i'm smarter than everyone while i hurl childish insults" crowd such as yourself.

Yes it does, Joe. The Elite is the Elite - refers to people with lots of money, wealth or family/political connections.

Elitist in its common use is just a pretentious word for "snob". Kind of ironic in that sense actually ;)

They were the back room pulling string types with the "Project for the New American Century" but many of them were Evangelicals.

It would be more helpful if you named names, these are all public figures so lets have'em.

Evangelicals typically support Israel on a local level but as for these folks being "power brokers" in DC, I'm not aware of any clusters which would have the Presidents ear or guide legislation, if you do, it would be interesting.

Nice job contradicting yourself.

"IT HAS TO BE" the wealthy political class, but in its common usage, its ironic. So, i guess it doesn't HAVE to be anything.

Elite is Elite. Elitists, are not technically Elite. They are technically the opposite. One only need to think about it.

Not sure why i always have to do this:

e·lit·ism or é·lit·ism (ĭ-lē'tĭz'əm, ā-lē'-)

n.

1. The belief that certain persons or members of certain classes or groups deserve favored treatment by virtue of their perceived superiority, as in intellect, social status, or financial resources.

Probably, but the Republican Party doesn't need Obama either. LOL

No, they need to get rid of the Obamas, like Olympia Snowe, Susan Collins, John McCain, Graham, etc. etc..

McCain is quite possibly the only sensible member of his party. How can you possibly put him in the same group as Obama?

Well i guess he's not in the exact same group, but he isn't too far off. At least on the domestic side.
