Getting a little anxious

I really think that we should have received something else by this point. I've noticed that most people's AOS have been going pretty smooth and I thought ours was too. The uscis website(and phone system) has said the same think for over two months now, that they received our RFE on Nov. 5. Our biometrics letter was sent around Nov.10 or so and was completed on Dec. 1 and the employment auth card arrived about a week later. Now I'm starting to wonder why our case status has remained unchanged for this amount of time. I've checked the time lines of people at our same local office(Omaha), and if they have been completed correctly, several people who filed after us have already had their interview and some already have their green cards.

I notice that the website didn't say anything about the biometrics appt. letter being sent so I assume it wouldn't say anything about an interview notice being sent. I'm hoping that something didn't get lost in the mail.

Does anyone know if speaking to an actual person at the USCIS 800 number will do any more good than what I can already see? I suspect that they will just tell me the same thing that the computer system tells me. Is it possible that they can give me a little more info about where our case stands at this point?

Thanks

Speaking to a customer service person probably won't do much.

They can see more at an Infopass appointment. For example, on the phone, the lady only read what the website said. At an Infopass, the lady was able to tell me what date USCIS received my biometric information, despite the case status not being updated online.

Try not to worry about it too much. Sometimes you don't see touches or updates on their system. My AOS had no touches or updates between October 23, the day after my biometrics appointment, and the day it was approved on December 2. Just remember that they're still chewing on it, but they'll finish eventually.

They process them in the same general order they receive them, but there is still significant randomization of the approval order. Generally speaking, someone who got their NOA1 in October should finish before someone who filed in December, but you could easily get your card 2-3 weeks after someone who filed a few days after you. It all comes down to individual variation in the individual adjudication officers and the individual cases, and is effectively random. Don't start worrying until you are WAY behind the other people who filed at the same time as you, and even then, try not to worry too much. If there's a problem, they'll let you know. Until then, it just takes how long it takes.

As with all processes we have no obvious physical control over, prayer can help a great deal.

It didn't say anything online too when I recieved my I-90 biometric schedule....After 28 days, my case status online changed....And I'm waiting also now for the status to changed when they will mail my card because it will usually display...
