First of all Thank you for reading this post. I have a question on my current I-130 petition. Long story short, I have petitioned for my ex-husband four years ago and he got his green card, came to US and cheated on me. So I got my divorced and re-married recently to my now husband. My concern is whether my earlier petition has any influence on my current petition. Please be kind enough to give me any insight you might have on this.

It can impact your current petition in several ways. First, unless your first husband is now a citizen, is dead or left the USA, you'll need to count him in your household size with filing the I-864. You'll also need to prepare for extra scrutiny of your relationship bona fides. Depending on the specific circumstances, there may be other areas of impact.

Facts are cheap...knowing how to use them is precious...

Pushbrk is correct. Also make sure your current husband knows all about the previous relationship, as he may be asked questions about it at his interview.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.
