COuld just be I have a thing for EBG's Tracey Thorn! Love her work and her voice... .

Sarah Brightman kind of makes me barf a bit -- don't know why...

;)

Hmm...you should check out some of Craig Armstrong's solo work. He was a BIG part of how Protection sounded, doing a lot of the synths, string arrangements and atmospherics. He's also done quite a bit of film work and has worked with Sarah Brightman (there's a great song called "This Love" that they do together). But he has at least two solo albums that I know of, and both of them have the same feel as Protection.

If you are getting that much distortion from downloaded music, then you are getting it from a horrible source. I don't want to get yelled at by the chat overlords so I won't mention any names, but there are ones out there that have great quality.

No no...this isn't from downloads. This is from the actual compression of an .mp3. The algorithm that is commonly used in .mp3s includes a lot of loss. Several years ago there was a major push by various music folks to have Meridian Lossless Packing used for song compression (i.e.: reducing file size without reducing sound quality), but it was too late...and not enough people cared about the audio quality. .mp3s are perfectly fine for most people, since you can hear the song etc. Most people don't care about the minor stuff.

I kind of which I couldn't either, but that's what happens when you deal with this stuff professionally on a day-to-day basis. :(

OK, here's one that I generally don't like to admit.... but none of you live close enough to tease me, so I don't care......... The Petshop Boys.

Heh...nothing's "wrong" with that.

My wife and I recently had a discussion about which was the better of the gay 80's synth pop duos -- Pet Shop Boys or Erasure. I think it's Erasure, she thinks it's Pet Shop Boys. After posing the question to some of our friends, it looks like Pet Shop Boys get the swing vote. :(

When I was a freshman in high school, I loved both groups. One of my friends got ticekts to their concert that they were both playing at and we got her parents to drop us off there. As soon as we walked in the door, it suddenly became aparent to us who the fan base for these groups were. It was a bit shocking to say the least. Never seen them play live since.

I can't help it. I love NKOTB.

I have my fair share of terrible music, me and my old bff used to PAY to go to bad concerts too. We have seen spice girls, britney, enrique, ricky martin LOL. We'd get ####### faced, go to these shows and just have a BLAST.

We were once escorted out of a ricky martin concert... that was awesome!

listen up everybody if you wanna take a chance... just get on the floor and do the new kids dance... *does the running man*

OMFG, of all the songs of theirs, you had to pick that one? That is the one that I hated by far the most. The one where they tried to act like they were toughguys, and one of them tried to even rap. FFS, i've got that chorus going in my head now. <_<
