You only win if health care dies. A Brown victory tonight gets you closer, but it's not quite enough.

WE (not "me") WIN. Whether you are able to figure it out by reading that mess and understanding yourself does not change the proper contexct of the statement.

Brown won. It will be quite enough to kill healthcare. WHOP will vote for that trash now? WHO? They are going to toss it back and say "try again" But that isn't going to happen in an election year where a Democrat can't win Ted Kennedy's seat in Mass. And after Novermber the Democrats are out of at least one house of congress, quite possibly both.

yup .. they had obama speak for her ...

didn't you read the news?

LOL She dropped 30 points in the last two weeks and they just watched her free-fall. They were afraid to send Obama for exacty this reason. It is the THIRD time this election season Obama waas rejected and told people do not listen to him and his appearence has gone a long way to PROVE to other Dems that healthcare WAS the issue and that voters, even in what should be a cake walk state, DO NOT want it.

Obama was embarrassed, healthcare was lost, it was overall a disater for Dems and has started the dominoes falling.

Like the way the Republicans and their failed policies were hugely rejected just a year ago? Voters haven't changed their minds about those failed policies. It's just that the Democratic Party has failed with their message and doubt is an easier sell.

Glad to see the Dems are still in denial. I was afraid this would wake them up and your initial posts worried me, but I see it was for nought.

The writing on the wall is that one year later Dems can't retain Kennedy's seat. This is because they have done nothing in the four years they have had congress and the year since Obama was sworm in...nothing. Guantanamo is still open, there are more troops in harm's way, gasoline costs more, more people are out of work, the stimulus didn't work, healthcare was mucked up and trashed, Obama can't drag Coakley across the finish line in Mass. to take Kennedy's place.

Did you think the people would continue to vote for Dems forever even after they do nothing they say they will? For how many years? One of these days we have to do more than "hope for change"

It's amazing to see the hubris of the ** Party on full display.

After a disastrous special election, when they lose control of perhaps their safest seat in the Senate, in an overwhelming Blue-voting state, their message is that they intend to pass the legislation they are proposing, which the voters in that previously safe constituency rejected by their votes in this election, before the incoming senator can be seated.

Amazing. It's like they listened to the voice of the Massachusetts electorate, but heard The Birdie Song.

This country is supposed to have a democratic process and, when faced with a one-party super-majority, as we have had since Senator Arlen Specter crossed parties to the Dimocrats, opportunities like the Mass. special election should be looked at as a barometer of public opinion. And one that is more reliable than an opinion poll at that, because the people in Mass. actually had to get out and make the effort to vote. The stark reality is that Mass. is an overwhelmingly ** state with a 3:1 disparity between registered ** and Republican't voters. Still they voted in a Republican't Senator.

If a strongly ** state turning Republican't isn't enough of a message to kill "Healthcare" Reform as it currently stands then I hope this voting pattern is repeated across the country come November, and the smug grin is wiped from the faces of the ** leadership. If they ignore the message the Mass. voters have sent, they deserve nothing more than to lose everything.

It saddens me that Mass lost their Democratic Senator, but if it makes the House pass the Senate's healthcare version, that might be a good thing. The long drawn-out debate on the healthcare has gone on for far too long anyway.

Lets all remember that this is the seat Kennedy held for decades. The dimwits are trying to say "ohhh she ran a bad campaign".. Maybe, but she should have won even still. The campaign callers were getting "former" Obama supporters who were voting for Brown. Saying Obama's Hopeychange wasn't what they expected. Liberalism lost. It wasn't "bad candidate A" or "bad campaign B" that lost, it was the fundamentals of liberalism.
