When does the I-94 expire? I mean how long is it valid for?

depends on the type of entry.... and in many situations what the CBP officer at the border decided at that time

YMMV

I'll give you a concrete example.

I arrived in the U.S. on October 27 last year using the K1 visa. My I-94 is valid until January 25 this year. That's what the immigration officer wrote.

Thanks! my fiancee arrived on a k1 visa too. I can't remember noticing an expiring date on the I-94 form though.

My I-94 was stamped with the date of my arrival and below that, the expiry date was handwritten by the immigration officer.

If you entered on a K-1 visa, the I-94 expires in exactly 90 days from the date of entry into the U.S.

Oh good, Fatima. That sums it up. It's just that in my case, I arrived in the U.S. on October 27 but my I-94 expires on January 25. That's like 88 days, not 90.

Or perhaps they counted the fact that December and October have 31 days while November only has 30. It's 90 days then for my I-94.

That's probably it :)

Wait, let me go check mine. I just assumed that it was 90 days because of the K-1 - I'll go count mine ;)

yup, it was 90 days from my date of entry: June 27, 2009 to I-94 expiry: September 25, 2009

counted from June 28th to 30th = 3

July 1st to 31st = 31

August 1st to 31st = 31

September 1st to 25th = 25

= 90 days total
