No, but I never approved of anyone acting like this towards W or any other President.

You don't have to like him, don't have to like his policies, and for sure you didn't vote for him. Celebrating obnoxious and disrespectful behavior towards this particular President, as this OP does, is classless.

For a President who has been noted as a good public speaker, to be derailed by the obnoxious, uncultured rabble for as long as 3 minutes highlights a serious failing and prompts a reappraisal of his skill at public speaking. As a previous poster noted, Bill Clinton would have had the nous and the comeback to disarm the heckler - I'd even go so far as to say he could swing it within the first 15 seconds - a skill which President Obama seems to lack.

I wouldn't, however, go as far as to say that George W Bush could have done any better. Obama, on or off the teleprompter, puts GWB to shame, without breaking a sweat. GWB always sounded like he was reading a script, even when he wasn't, and that always struck me a mildly ridiculous for a President of the USA.

Look I have no idea if you would act in the way of many who supported Obama, but for about two years I had listened to the most base attacks on Bush being made and no one on the left were calling people on it. SO if you and others were higher in principle... your silence allowed the Left-wing to be defined.

So what does it mean? It means those are the political realities now, this is how we treat the opposition (Though hecklers as posted here are nothing new).

As people sink to new lows attacking Sarah Palin's family you have to expect that those on the right will meet this even lower standard with the same crude attacks On Mrs. Obama and his family... and why not?
