Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

I dunno, I don't see much funny in someone posting a very patronizing-sounding "I'm sorry" at someone else's personal choice to not drink to excess (who, incidentally wasn't castigating anyone else for their choices).

I'm not saying that bringing up the engagement ring loss was necessary, but IMHO Mrs. Whizz's first post to Jen set the tone.

*shrug* Another day on VJ, right? ;)

As for my dumbest thing, I fell on a sauna heating unit and got a second degree burn. Still have the scar. :(

It was sarcasm. Man, that word should be posted with a definition on a banner at the top of this board. I have a lot of respect for people who don't drink, eat meat, smoke...whatever their life choice might be as long as they don't come across like some anti-drinking advocate with a glass of wine in their hand. The only thing I'm sorry about is that some bitter , hypocritical and defensive person tried to ruin a perfectly fun thread. People who need to point out the misery of others for their own satisfaction have more problems than waiting for their visas. Thanks for reminding me about my ring though, it always makes me think about just how much my husband and I love each other.

The poster below me also used the words "I'm sorry." If you want to personally attack me, there's this little button. On the button, it says PM. Push the button, put the cursor in the little box and write until you feel better about yourself. Then, press send. (This part is patronizing & belittling)

Thanks LisaD. I've been covetting your signature pic all week.

It's raspberry-lime seltzer this evening! Fine lush I am!!! ;)

I was at a Mexican restaurant for a friend's birthday and well 4 "Dos Equis" and 9 shots of tequila later, I decided I needed to use the restroom. When I stood up, gravity and my condition did not like eachother, and I tore the wooden blinds from the window on the way down. After the bathroom I assumed the fetal position in the car.

They never did charge me because I was such a good customer.

So out of all this, you decide that *I'm* the one who needs to be put in her place? Because I dared to suggest that maybe your tone could be the reason for Jen's response (and didn't even say I agreed with her response)? Wow.

BTW, I didn't "remind you about your ring". I didn't post anything about you. I don't know you, and frankly after this little diatribe, am not much interested. I don't think that'll hurt you too much so I think we can safely go our separate ways without too many tears shed, right?

Next time, do the board a favor and take your own patronizing and belittling advice and PM me. Or rather, the person you really need to spew this at.

Electricity is really just organized lightning.

woooooooow...those stories are freakin hysterical....I have also partook in some drunken nights...and although im sure there are a million dumb things ive done...these are the few that come to mind....

after about 7 margaritas, convinced myself that corn pops was going to taste like the best thing on this earth, (i hate milk mind you) so i pulled out a punch bowl, dumped the ENTIRE box of cereal and gallon of milk on top, got out a wooden spoon, got thru about 4 bites before i blew chunks straight back into the bowl.....

went to michigan for memorial day weekend back in 04' with my girlfriends to the cottage........drank apple vodka all night, got REAL chitfaced real quick, spent the night driving around the area in a golf cart we STOLE out of a boat dock, and 4am rolls around, and i decide its a good idea to take off my clothes and jump into the nastiest, dirtiest, 65 degree water........its all blurry from there, all i know is i woke up with leaches ALL over me.
