Hello everyone, I am new here and I need your help. It has been 2 years waiting for the visa. The interview was on jan 2010 and they

Ask me to send form 1040 for joint sponsor and a proof of counting relation ship and I sent to them. Then they send me e-mail says that

The case is pending the officer’s final review. We will process the case to conclusion once that is completed. Then they sent another one says The Case was sent to National Visa Center for adjudication on April 19, 2010. The case file was sent by the diplomatic pouch.

My question is, how long it takes to send the case back to Egypt. And what should I to do.

I am sorry to here this. It looks like you petition has been returned to the states. When a petition is returned, the embassy sends it to the NVC and then it is sent back to the approving USCIS office.

Try calling the NVC to see if they have logged your case yet. You will need either your case number or your receipt number.

There is a pinned topic in the MENA section about returned petitions. Read that, but start on about page 11.

My husband k3 visa paperwork cleared Washington in March and was sent back to Egypt for final approval. Now it's May and still no visa yet. Ahmed calls the embassy everyday they are open and sends them email. How long do we have to wait. I contact Senitor Kohls' office to see if they could help grease the wheels. I talk to the lady from his office today and she said that the embassy has 30 days to respond back to her.

Well when it comes to USA embassy in Egypt you really can not expect anything .

No one can tell you how long its going to take till he get the visa in his hand .

What did they say to him when he call or when he Email them ?

Yeah unfortunately it takes the embassy 3 or 4 weeks to respond bac to the senator/congressman office .

I hope that you will hear something soon .

When he call the embassy, they told him it just waiting for a signiture and it as be done in a week, but that was two weeks ago. They also told me the same thing when I called last week. As far as the email goes they havent responded yet to that.

I just sent my new medical exam and my new police certificate yesterday .And the embassy will receive them on Sunday .

So i hope that they will move their lazy butts and issue me the visa since they have everything in order and they already done their review long time ago .

Everything is going pretty good for me and Sameh. He is still impatiently waiting on his SS# and GC!

After an issue of digestive problems from American food, Sameh is now enjoying eating again with alittle help of Fenugreek tea!!!

So that is a fair warning for all SO who are coming to the US!! Make sure you know where your local health food store is!!!

So far Sameh has mastered lawn maintenance and started repainting the outside of the house! Ahhh the joys of home owning!!! It's keeping him busy until he can actually work. And the house has never looked so nice!

My friend disconnection got his visa and he is in USA since 10 days ago .

but you know it happened so quickly as one week after sending the police certificate the visa was issued and one week later i got it in hand .

anyways , my trip went smooth and nice and everyone at the POE which was Detroit were so nice and helpful . nothing upnormal happened to me , i evern expected it will be complicated but it didn't take more than 5 min to talk with the immigration officer and it was not like an interview , it was like chat .

be prepared man and i recommend you book your ticket as soon as you have your visa issued mail , that will save time .

also don't take more than 10000$ in cahs with you , 3000$ would be enough while the rest in your debit visa card .

also don't take more than one pack of cigarets with you otherwise you will pay customs for those .

relax bro and get ready as your trip is after few days

Well I think my hubby kind of went "overboard" Plus he had alot of stress coming over so I think that didn't help the situation either. I ended up taking him to the doctors and getting Nexium which he hated. So off to the health food store and all is well again!
