well i have bad news and im in shock right now. hosam called the embassy today and on march 25th they received all the government checks and everything was good and clear. on april 1rst the CO decided she couldnt make a decision on our case and is returning it to the states. she said our case isnt logical to her. seems the age difference must be her problem. we have cooperated in every way with them. i called DOS and they confirmed it all. im lost and dont know what to do now.i will prolly travel to egypt next month if i can find an affordable ticket. im so strapped for money and not in good health either.on top of that disabled.zhit really has hit the fan this time.Allah forgive me for what i want to happen to the CO!!!! we will get married while im there since we wernt allowed when i went in 2007 becuz of the embassy and the ministry of foreign affairs being in a disagreement at the time and americans were not being allowed to get married.what can i do if we do get married and is there any way to amend the K-1 to a K-3????

im seriously lost and so very tired

Why they did not send it back after the interview ?!I mean they make you wait wait ad wait for nothing .

Hang in there my friend .I know its really hard now but love can make anything and i know that you and Hossam love each others so much .

Unfortunately my friend there is no way to amend the K1 to k3 .Now you have to wait and see if they will approve your case and send it back to the embassy .Or they will let it till its expire .

And if you will go to Egypt next month you can cancel the K1 and get married so you can file for CR1 cause there is no more k3 my friend .

You are in my prayers my friend .(F):(

whats a CR-1 moh?

sorry to hear about ur situation Khadija sister when i read your post i could not stop myself replying u and help you.

CR1 is an other visa category and u file i-130 and when ur husband receive visa and goes usa on CR1 visa then he/she receive the Green card with 2 years validity in first month of being there in USA. and if it has been more than 2 years since ur marriage and ur husband reaches USA after 2 years marriage anniversary then he/she will receive a Green card of 10 years validity and no more immigration or uscis untill step for citizenship.

Notice to everyone reading my Naturalization Timeline
That it took me 5 months to have oath after the interview is only because i requested for a name change,
this is what delayed my case by months

Khadija im so so sorry to hear about your case going back to the US, My girlfriend that also filed K1 in eygpt had her husbands interview last July and they notified her Tuesday her case was going back to the US also. They have had there ups and downs and I know she won't be filing again. In your case I would welcome the idea of what Hotguy said the CR1 that is your only hope. That will get him here, it sucks to start over. I totally feel your pain girl. This entire process will make a person crazy and test your love to your spouse. You just have to stay strong and fight for what you want. We are all here for you to help in the next step in you decide the CR1 route.

I really don't understand it at all i mean at all .Why the heck they make people wait wait and wait for nothing ? I mean why they delay them if they will send their cases back to USA anyway ? Why you make them suffer ? If they don't like their cases say sorry we can not give you the visa at the interview .I mean don't let people wait for nothing .

Now after i read all of that stories .It really scared the sh*t out of me :(

I called the embassy yesterday and it was about 30 min phone call ! And i asked them about everything you can imagine .I hope that they will not do the same to me .
