Thanks disconnection! heart.gif I'm on pins and needles. I haven't slept in about 24 hours and I'm not sure I'm going to sleep the next 24. It's a very exciting time. biggrin.gif

This site is really neat too. I've got his flight up right now. It shows it's on time with low chance of delays. The last time I left Cairo from the same airport was in August and we were delayed a good half hour because of how chaotic is there.

Hello everyone...just wanted to let you all know that I got my NVC number today. Super exciting that I made it to level 2 of this process... :dance: . I got my AOS packet ready to fly. My husband should be done with his packet in a week and a half. The last mail he sent from Egypt was through EMS Eygpt Post>USPS Global Express it took 11 days total. Was wondering if anyone knew any service thats faster??

I've been living with my husband here in Paris for the last 15 months, but will have to move back to the States in mid-May with or without him. Good luck in your life together and keep us posted!

09/13/2011 went to congressman's office to sign papers for expedite of work permit, due to financial hardship

09/15/2011 Work permit expedite approved!! He can finally find a job!

09/24/2011 work permit arrives

09/26/2011 Apply for social security number!

09/30/2011 Letter is sent for interview

11/07/2011 INTERVIEW!!!

Its 2012 and still no approval! Still waiting

01/27/2012 Letter sent stating that file was sent on for more review :(

Thanks Turia! luv.gif He lands here at 7:35 pm. They are boarding the next leg of the flight and awaiting take off then he has one more layover between here and there. My head is starting to spin now. I've had maybe 5 hours of sleep and should sleep more but every time I lay down I can't get to sleep so I get up and clean some more. I haven't heard from him yet so I hope he's at the airport tonight when we go to pick him up. It's going to be me, Mom, Uncle Tom, my brother Zach, his wife Deb and their baby Piper now. Also we're going out to dinner and we are trying to decide between Mexican food or Thai food. tongue.gif Uncle Tom wants to take him to American Food at this place across from campus called the Ram. It's a restaurant & bar. Everybody is pretty excited to meet him too. He doesn't know they are all coming to the airport with me and I didn't really invite them they just decided. no0pb.gif But it's ok. It will be a family "Welcome to America Waleed" event!

His Sister called this morning to check on if he made it and told me to keep in touch. I let her know that the flight landed but I haven't heard from him yet. I hope that's a good thing. I would expect that he'd call me if something was wrong.

Not sure when I will get to post again. Hopefully it will be with good news that he arrived! biggrin.gif

YAY, Olivia!!! :D I am so excited for you!!! :dance: :dance: :dance:

A family welcome dinner sounds great! We had dinner at my father-in-law's house the night I arrived, it was sweet, but I felt like I was dreaming and had a hard time connecting the voices with the faces..I was really tired :P It still was a very nice gesture and memory! :)

I hope you two have a super happy reunion and a long ever-lasting life together!!! (F)
