Hello..

Our interview is coming up soon - well hopefully, just have not gotten the appointment letter yet. Anyway trying tp prepare. Anyway I have a couple of questions:

1. My bf already got his police certificates and as far was I remember the Federal Police Certificate expires within 3 months.

We got the Federal Police Certificate well over 3 months ago so technically it is not good anymore. I read somewhere, I believe on here that is is ok to present the Certificate even if its over 3 months old. Is this true ?

2. What about his birth certificate ? Does this need to be certified ?

3. When it comes up gathering evidence, how much evidence do we need to bring ? Planetickets, phonecall records, pics.. that should do it right ? Do you make copies of this ? What do you actually put the evidence in ?

Thanks

Hi, I heard somewhere that the consulate accepts PC up to 1 year. But to be sure, email them and ask if that's ok. They are pretty good in answering emails.

If they don't accept it he can always print it out a new one from the Police website.

The birth certificate I think it has to be one originial and a simple copy. At least for CR1 process. I think K1 may be the same. (If you email them, ask these two questions).

About the evidences, I would add as much as I can. Better be safe than sorry. Make copies and bring along with the originals. Make a separate folder for evidences. Pictures, airplane tickets, passport stamps showing you were together the same time-same place, hotel reservations, phone records, emails, milestone cards if any, etc.

They might not ask for it, but it's always good to have it. I'm making a photo album for my process. So I have two, one for the time we were dating and another one since the wedding.

Good luck! =)

No problem!!! Let me know what their answer is =)

I'm starting to gather my police certificates as well and it would be nice to hear from you!

Also, I emailed them last month and they told me that they accept PC printed out by the internet. So about that you should be fine.

Good luck ;)

1- Regarding the policy records, please guide yourself based on embassy guidelines, if you get an answer from them save it and bring it with you for proof. Sometimes, "they forget"

2- Birth Certificate you can bring your original and have a copy ready. They won’t keep it..

3- Is important for you to provide them with proof [bona Fide of ongoing relationship] ex. new email, post cards, letters, IM conversations, traveling airfares, hotels receipts, pictures [with family - very important], tel logs,

Hope this helps
