Morning!

I have the day off- and I am SO GLAD I was home this morning because the EMBASSY CALLED. I posted the whole story on the AP forum, but to tell it short, they called to make sure I was still involved in the relationship (yes for sure!) as it has been a while since the interview. They need to finish up some things- I am PRAYING that this is GOOD news and that we are very close to having AP end. :D

It was an exciting phone call for me, that is for sure. Wish I could have taped it. Of course, I called Ghassan right away- today being his birthday and all- so we are hopeful this is all for the good insha'Allah. (what do you all think?)

Other than that-going to some MLK celebration thing tonight.

Take care!

Good afternoon!

I spent the morning at the doctor's office. I thought this was funny. My doctor asked me what I use for birth control, since I haven't been in since we got married, and I said "Well, my husband is in Morocco and I'm here." She said "That pretty much takes care of it, doesn't it?

The rain started to come and it's cold here! Well, cold for us. I got about halfway done with my course preparations yesterday so I will do that this evening and then just the usual get ready for work chores (laundry, pack lunches for the week, etc.). At least it's a quick week. Now the long haul until Spring Break but there's a chance I may get to go to Morocco and see Omar so I'm hoping!

Aya I'm sorry you don't have that visa in hand yet. I think it's wise to get as much done as you can because it'll be less for you to have to do at the last minute, like you said. Jackie, are you jumping around the house all giddy yet? I'm soooo excited for you and can't wait to hear all about your happy reunion! Jeanne how's Tucson? Are you guys being pelted with rain yet?

Everyone have a great day!

Baj, Wow...the embassy called. I hope that means they are going to issue the visa really soon.

The weather is beautiful here today, eventhough I missed a good portion of it. I slept until almost noon. Now that I'm finally up...I'm going to run some errands, do some work, have a late lunch with a friend, go to the movies, and then finish my day off with homework.

Hope everyone enjoys there days.

Aya, I hope you get your call from the embassy very soon.

Waiting.....Waiting....waiting....waiting....and more waiting..........

Happy Monday MENA!

It's raining today in Cairo!! Finally some rain as a change! LOL!

I'm taking today a day off work... I've started making a list of the things I should shop for before packing and seeing which of my belongings I'm going to give away.. Still no visa in hand yet...but I'm just getting ready so I don't have to prepare for the packing last minute...

What is everyone planning to do today?

Hey, today has been a crazy day around here. I hope you get your visa soon. Bijad, my fiance, goes tomorrow at 8 am for his interview. I feel hopeful but helpless. Shop before packing?! Shouldn't you be getting rid of somethings?
