Hi Everyone,

Just to let you all know that if you have some extra/spare Canadian "funny coloured money" laying around and want to exchange it for some American "dead presidents money", it is best to exchange it soon...

The rates can't get any better than what it is nowadays, almost at par!....

1.00 CAD = 0.971955 USD

Canada Dollars United States Dollars

1 CAD = 0.971955 USD 1 USD = 1.02885 CAD

http://www.xe.com/ucc/convert.cgi?Amount=1...=CAD&To=USD

So that's what I did yesterday...Went over the border for an hour or so to exchange the leftover christmas money that grandma gave...

And now I can use that money to pay part of my USCIS debt off!

Oh and the guy at the Canadian currency exchange was very nice and entertaining too...lol....

Lol..Though it was kind of amusing when I crossed back to the USA.....

When we told them where we went, declared ourselves as "United States" (lol..my husband should have said "American"...oops...)

And they basically just said to us.."Welcome Home!"

And no more further questions....(other than just a quick peek in the car to see if the baby was in there..lol..)

Hope this helps. Good luck on your currency exchanges, travels, and immigration journeys too...

I'm at the point now where I wish it was the other way around!!

I need to transfer my US money to CDN for our wedding in Canada and my student loan payments. I hope it goes par for a couple of days for you guys to switch your money and then goes back so that I can make some money on the opposite exchange, LOL.
