Napa Valley College will be hosting a free information session on Citizenship. For those who live in the Bay Area, it might be something good to attend. Please note, I have no connections or will receive any benefit from this event. I just thought it was a good thing to share.

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, hosted by Napa Valley College and the Napa County Bi-national Health Task Force, will present an information session on Feb. 6 to help immigrants better understand the naturalization process, including the content of the new naturalization test, and become familiar with free educational resources and materials available from the agency.

USCIS personnel will be on hand to discuss the naturalization process step-by-step and provide information about eligibility and residency requirements, application forms, fees, the background security check and processing times. Participants will also see sample questions from the new test that becomes mandatory on Oct. 1, receive an overview of U.S. history and civic principles, and watch a mock naturalization interview. Free educational materials will be given out while supplies last. In addition, participants will be able to make appointments to speak to USCIS officers about their particular applications.

The event is Feb. 6 at the Napa Valley College cafeteria, Building 900, 2277 Napa Vallejo Highway.

NycBra-Very useful, indeed

Too bad that they didn't offer this for other locations and/or at other times....

Oh well, to those in Napa Valley, have fun and hope you learn a lot during this session!

(Btw..NycBra, are you planning on attending? If so..maybe you can post a review about this session too)

Good luck with the rest of your journeys too.

I won't attend (I will be far away from Napa Valley that weekend). But it seems like it will be a great opportunity to get info and have questions answered.

By the way, what is this new test that will be implemented in October??
