Could a Filipino travel to Bermuda WITHOUT A VISA, just a PASSPORT. Yes, Ive seen wikipedia and a couple answered questions on yahoo answers saying you can, but I would like more verifiable sources, could someone please tell me, Like a Filipino person or someone who knows for sure....

My girlfriend keeps telling me that she needs a visa because she would be passing thru countries that require a visa like the U.S., because it wouldnt be a direct flight

Filipinos residing in the Philippines: NEEDS VISA TO ENTER BERMUDA

Citizens of Philippines residing in Philippines have to apply for a visa to Bermuda in person at the nearest consulate of Bermuda in Philippines. Please note that the application procedures and fees may vary depending on where you apply. If there is no consulate of Bermuda in Philippines there might be a consulate of Bermuda in one of the neighboring countries that covers the jurisdiction of Philippines.

Filipinos residing in the United States: NO VISA REQUIRED FOR VISIT/LEISURE

Bermuda tourist visa is not required for citizens of Philippines for a stay up to 180 days.

Why are you calling the embassy in Manila? The have nothing to do with identifying visa free travel for PI citizens... The concern themselves with visa travel to the USA.

Bermuda is a British territory. In the 1990s, I remember having applied for a business visa (not tourist) for one of our Filipino executives through the British Embassy in Manila. It took almost two weeks at that time.

Why not make it easy for your lady…hop on plane and meet her in Manila. BERMUDA seems a bit too far for a pinay for a meet-up and she needs Visa to go there too. Just saying… :D

Hi Mikhail...

:ot:

I have never been to Bermuda, but I have enjoyed some great beaches in the U.S., in Mexico, and in the Philippines.

I can tell you...there are many amazing beaches in the Philippines...you would love it there!

Also, a vacation in the Philippines with your sweetheart would be easier on your budget than a vacation in Bermuda.

One other thing...I feel that it is important to meet your gal in her home town so that you can also meet her family and friends. The reason I say this is because I think you can get to know her better that way. I also believe that it helps later on when you go through the visa process.

Hi Mikhail,

I suggest you to bring her in Costa Rica. Filipinos don't need visa in Costa Rica. She doesn't need to get transit visa if she will take the Europe way. That's what we did (me and my bf). I traveled last Feb.2009 from Philippines to Costa Rica. I flew from Manila-Amsterdam-Ecuador-Panama-Costa Rica through KLM. I bought my ticket in Expedia.com. She doesn't need a visa in Costa Rica for 30 days. What she needs is invitation letter from a friends or family in Costa Rica. Back and forth ticket and yellow fever vaccines. Thanks and I hope it will help.

What a great Idea. Costa Rica is an ever popular tourist (and retirement) destination for Americans. Pinay would feel right at home there on the Equator!
