So I'm to understand that there is not one other person on this forum with an I-129F (K-3) that has a receipt # beginning with "WAC"?

Please relax and do not panic. Have you emailed the CSC? Just wait to hear from them, please. Enjoy your weekend.

Okay this is what I think has happened:

Her lawyer has sent application to TSC thinking it was a regular fiance (K1) application. TSC is sending those to CSC. CSC just generally reviewed the application and issued reciept, since the same form is used for BOTH K1 and K3. I think if they had reviewd the application correctly, they would've sent it back to her after noting her responses to Questions 18 and 19, and after seeing NOA1 for I-130 in the packet.

I guess she should call 800 number and ask the rep. to get her connected to an immigration officer, and explain the situation. The Major pre approval difference in K1 and K3 is that K1 goes to Service center having jurisdiction, while K3 goes to Chicago, then to NBC.

One advise to all: Regardless of whether lawyers are good ro bad, dont use them if your case is simple and you dont have any serious complications. Lawyers cant help get you a faster approval or ask USCIS to treat you different from those who dont use a lawyer, so why use them just to fill and mail applications, while anyone can easily do it?
