Do K-3 receipt #'s begin with "WAC"?

To phrase this another way, my NOA1 receipt number for the I-129F I sent in on behalf of my husband begins with "WAC", and I was told that this means it is with the CSC. But I thought that all I-129F applications for spouse were sent to and processed at MSC/NBC.

Does CSC incorrectly have my application, perhaps thinking it's a K-1 application?

Or were there 2 different applications for the I-129F for fiance and I-129F for spouse that I wasn't aware of?

An immigration lawyer prepared all my documents for the K-3 visa application process. Now I'm wondering what's going on.....

Please help! :help:

To my knoweldge I-129F's for spouse are still being processed in NBC as I havent noted any being transferred as has happened with the fiances. I would send CSC an email to confirm as there has been cases of I-129F's for spouse being filed as fiance. csc-xii.129F@dhs.gov Wouldnt be the first time a lawyer has made a boo boo in this regard either. You can also call the NCSC 1800 number.

Yes, all K-3s are processed at NBC/MSC. The receipt number starts with MSC for all K-3s. Maybe, your lawyer mailed it out to CSC instead of Chicago lockbox (who forwards all K-3 to NBC). Please email CSC as soon as possible and explain your situation. Aussie has provided the email address in her reply. Plus, contact your lawyer as soon as possible and explain him your concern. I hope, everything wil straighten out for you as soon as possible. Keep us posted.

My application was mailed to TSC by my lawyer. Once I received my NOA1 for the application, I received a Notice of Transfer at the same time saying it was sent to Chicago, PO Box 7216. I assumed that this meant it was sent to the appropriate place.

Is it possible that it could have a CSC receipt number, but actually be at MSC/NBC? I don't really know how or why it ever received a CSC receipt # in the first place.

I'll send an email to csc and inquire.

Im wondering if perhaps you may be confusing the NOA for the I-130 which have been being transferred to CSC. This NOA will have a WAC number.

Yes, send an email to CSC and hopefully they can explain. Emphasize that it is a K-3 petition. I wonder why the lawyer had sent the K-3 petiton to TSC at the first place.

Hey. My NOAI for the I-129F starts with MSC. I just thought I would throw in my lil 2 cents here. You hired a lawyer? I hear people commenting on that a lot. I started to do that too. I am soooooo glad I didnt do that. The people on VJ will help you and give you all you need to know. No they arent lawyers, as far as I know....But 1 thing they have that I'm sure a lawyer doesn't is compassion. They only want money. They dont care about if your case is properly tended to. The more mistakes they make, the more money they get from you.

I look at an immigration lawyer the same way I do debt consolidators, (esp. since I am in up to my ears and am considering bankruptcy...) You can do it yourself.

I was so nervous to do all of this myself, but I am doing alright, I guess. You will save a lot of money, I am sure. I dont know if money is even an issue to you but still........ dont waste it!!!! I mean, hey... there's always me!

I AM JUST KIDDING!

GOOD LUCK WITH FINDING OUT WHAT THE DEAL IS.......

Pray with me Forrest! Dear God, make me a bird so I can fly far. Far, far away from here..... Dear God, make me a bird so I can fly far. Far, far away from here!

Hey...not true, Our lawyer has been perfect all the way and well worth the money we spent to hire them. Be careful whenever you say "always" and "never", when you do, you will Always be wrong!

Another case of using an attorney to make yur case go smoothly. Hope you can it all straightened out and fire the attorney. May take some time to get everything back on track.

I finally got rid of the never ending money drain. I called the plumber, and got the problem fixed. I wish her the best.

Your one good experience compared with the scores of bad that are seen here, and the person bad experiences I know about, do not sway my comment or opinion.

Most people on here recommend NOT to get a Lawyer...it is a common, fact-based opinion!

By the way, I never said "always" or "never"....but you did, which makes you wrong?

To bring this back around, I paid a very negligible fee to my sister-in-law's lawyer to help prepare our application. I did not actually hire a lawyer or spend a large amount of money. My only concern right now is where my K-3 visa application is, and if it's in the right place.

I just sent an email to CSC regarding my inquiry. We'll see what they say.

Don't cases get transferred frequently? Does that mean that the receipt number changes each time?

I wouldn't think so. Isn't it possible that my case received a CSC case number, but was transferred to MSC/NBC?

Just a thought.

That could be a possibility. Just keep on it though until you have a definitive answer that the petition is indeed where it should be.
