It seems like this has been a great week for everyone :). My fiance got a call from the consulate again that they have all the necessary paperwork that we submitted, but now want the original for the religious divorce decree. He had originally mailed the original to VFS and they sent it back stating we only want copy. So, they said if he can just mail that directly to the consulate by Monday rather then to VFS. He explained to them what happened, and then they apologized on behalf of VFS. The lady officer was very nice, and talked for a long time to my fiance. Hoping next week brings us better news.

The original copy was delivered and signed, and he sent it directly to the consulate. Still we do not have an answer. DOS told me that it takes the consulate 2 weeks or so to input everything in the computer. Once my fiance got the confirmation that the mail was delivered he called the consulate and they informed him that they probably do not have it in the system yet. Does it take this long? The officer that spoke with my fiance was in a hurry to recieve it and still there is no decision. He sent it last Friday and was delivered on Saturday. How much longer? :crying:

The original documents requested was recieved by them January 22nd and that was through VFS. So, now they gave him the address of the fast processing unit so they can recieve it asap since they now want the original copy to confirm. I just hope this running around ends very soon. I know it has only been two days, but if VFS had initially accepted the original documents that were sent we would not be in this situation.
