Hi, I would like to clarify if these are needed as requirement for Visa interview:

1.Does police clearance is still needed if my address was just here in the Philippines?

2. Is it ok for me to use my NBI clearance which was issued last Sept 4, 2009?

Thanks.

You only need NBI clearance as long as you haven't been abroad for more than 6 months since you were 16.

Update your current NBI clearnace a month before your USEM interview.

Hint. Take your medical ASAP. When you have your MNL# and NOA2 you can take your medical. Go to St. Lukes AFTER 1 PM Tuesday thru Thursday.

Filed: K-1 Visa Country: Philippines
Timeline
Thank you so much.. I'll be having my medical next week.. But they advise me to have my medical as early as 6 am.. why after 1 pm?

They close for lunch from 11-1 or 11:30 to 1, something like that. If you start your first day appointment at 1 p.m. you'll wait less time. Vicky did this too. Then when you go for the second day you can go early in the morning and everyone else will be starting and falling in line for what you've already completed and you'll go straight to the US physicians.

The NBI clearance is good for 6 months I believe, but I would agree with the previous poster. It's really inexpensive and simple to renew, so I would have a newer version. Don't forget to make and save a copy for your AOS later.

The police clearance is as the previous poster said, only required if you lived in any foreign country for 6 months or over since you were 16 years old.

Relax, Vicky said the interview was pretty easy and not too many questions.

The NBI clearance is valid for one year.

It's not needed during the AOS.

Keep your NOA2 and DS-325O, they are the ones that really matter during the AOS.

The pre-screener will ask you on the day of the interview, "Have you ever lived outside the Philippines?"

If you tell him no, he wouldn't bother to ask for a police clearance.

When I was researching here for old posts about medical experiences before I had mine, some people have written that it's best to go there around 5:3O a.m. or at 3 p.m. I went to SLMCEC at past 4 a.m. There were already people ahead of me but I got queue number 2 when they opened. I was done with all the tests at 9 a.m. and was told to go back the following day at 7 a.m.

Be at ease for the rest of the process.

Besides beating the morning rush at St. Lukes you don't have to get a hotel room the night before if you go after 1PM.

You can fly in the morning if you're from another island or take a early bus if you live a ways from Manila.

"Keep your NOA2 and DS-325O, they are the ones that really matter during the AOS."

Good idea but it's the DS 3025 vaccination records. NOT DS 3250.

Oh right. I wrote the wrong number sequence. I meant the vaccination records DS-3025.
