Obama To Grant Immunity To Illegal Haitians

I hope Obama can fast track some jobs to go with all the work permits! I am not sure where the majority of illegal Haitian's live, but Florida's unemployment rate is about 11.5% now and expected to hit 12% very soon.

Point well made!

So what about the citizens that are fleeing their country, they will try to enter the US by boat. After Jan 12, the US government will send them back, to what, live among the dead to live in tent’s, to starve or die? The real fact is the Haiti government could care less about it’s on citizens and needs take ownership and responsibility of there own people. Hopefully with the aid and help from many others they will, but probably or the true reality will not.

Stick to the point, we're talking about TPS for Hatian nationals already living in the US, not potential Hatians who may enter the country illegally. Apples and oranges my friend, not the same thing.

Apples: We're talking about a the TPS the USCIS is giving to Hatian nationals already living in the US.

Oranges: You mentioned potential illegal Hatian immigrants coming to the US after the earthquake (by boat nonetheless). These would be people not covered by TPS; therefore, this comment has nothing to do with the current immigration situation of these poor people.

Look as an Haitian. I do understand your point of view. I was deported last year and now after the earthquake everybody gets to stay. I know it is not fair to other countries but where will they go? I am now in the Dominican Republic because I no longer have a home in Haiti. So what do you suggest I do? Go back to Haiti and try to make it? I can't work in the Dominican Republic because I am on a visa. If it was not for my Husband in the US, I really don't know what I would have done. The prison was destroyed and prisoners had escaped. It terrifies my husband that I can get hurt by one of them. You don't know who is who anymore. So would you want your wife to be in a situation like this?

Your situation merely shows the problem with the immigration process as a whole... You're married to a US Citizen and YOU should be allowed an expedited visa to come and immigrate to the USA...

I don't know the circumstances behind your deportation but at least you have family here in the USA by means of marriage. You should be allowed back immediately.

Good luck,

Alan
