So it's called being "shallow"... whatever, that's not offensive to me, to me it's just human nature. People judge other people by outward appearance, so what? how otherwise would you 'want' to talk to someone you're interested in dating or getting to know, you look at them, size them up and decide in your mind if they're attractive enough or not... and then get to know their personality, that's not the only criteria OF COURSE, but first impressions DO count, however much people want to deny it, it's just the way it is... job interviews, speed dating situations, you name it, first impressions on outward appearance counts, if you don't realize this it's your loss.

No-one can make fun of minorities anymore? What happened? :o

Exactly. It's now to OK to take into consideration a persons skin tone and dialect. Especially Negros.

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

Senator Barack Obama
Senate Floor Speech on Public Debt

let's all make fun of fat people since no one can make fun of minorities anymore, this way you aren't making fun of race, but still have someone to look down on and feel superior to.......:wacko:

Awwe relax, I think most people are laughing at ourselves on this one.

I doubt all of us are Slim Jims.

I remember when I used to do a lot of promotional modelling a few years back, at one stage I gained a bit of weight, I was told by the manager of the agency that I won't be able to get a few upcoming jobs as I gained the weight - like 10lb's lol - I didn't go cry on my bed and feel offended, I took it for what it was, a fact, got my fat azz to the gym , followed a healthy diet and lost 12lb's and got all the jobs I wanted. Some people take criticism and being made fun of too much to heart instead of just doing something if they can about the problem.

Word. I am looking forward to getting back to the gym (my stupid back gave out, gaa!) and getting rid of this Xmas chocolate weight. Actually, it's not so much the weight I'm worried about, it's more fitness - I just love the lovely endorphins that release when you've battled the pull up machine!! It sure helps the mental health too.

For sure! and all the good healthy home cooking, it's amazing how good (or bad I guess) marriage can be for both people's health... When I was living alone, I was still eating healthy, but at very weird times and picking a lot, not eating proper meals or really bothering to cook something. Since we've been living together we have it down like an art, and eat extremely healthy and balanced meals most of the time since we both cook and take the time to sit down together for breakfast and pack lunches & snacks, eat out about once or twice a week at a healthy restaurant but never anything from vending machines or junkfood, that's a sin !

LOL, so true!! my husband knows me sooo well, when I start getting grumpy he goes "when last were you at they gym?" He knows if I haven't been to the gym in a while I lose it: grumpyness, lack of energy, boredom etc. it's Amazing what those endorphins can do for ones mood...
