OK so we are a young couple who has our interview next tuesday we have a lawyer putting together our documents to take with us .. we dont have a house of our own and i cant beleive i got my SSN and work authoand parole and my interview within 2 months of eachother.

anyway we have

cell phone bills and calls documented

4 credit cards in both our names

2 joint back accounts

life and medical insurance, we are eachothers beneficiary for life insurance

tickets from australia which we went for our honey moon

photos from new years eve, miami, australia

photos of dinner after we got married, we were so nervous we didnt take any at the ceremony !

bank statements from all our accounts

tax returns from my husband as he used me on them

a letter from his job saying he makes the amount he does

anything else im so nervous sometimes I have heard they are brutal !

anyway if anyone else has any tips they can give me then please post below .

Good luck. Sounds like you will be prepared. If your marriage is true, the interview should be a piece of cake. We are going in 4 weeks so let us know how it goes.

There is nothing to worry about. You have a lot of information available to show them. Make sure that you have copies otherwise they will keep the originals.

We had a great experience with the interviewer and was a very polite man. He asked us a few questions and after 20 minutes everything was done.

My wife got a handshake from him and said "welcome to America" and then he even offered to stamp her passport which will allow you to travel outside if you wanted.

It was already 3 pm and they could not do it because they had left already so we missed that. Ask the question about the stamp anyway if the interviewer does not ask you. They actually do it at Garden City.

Also be ready to wait about 2 months to get the GC. I did not believe that this was truly the case but our Interview was on June 7th and we just got the GC on Monday. So about 6 weeks or so for Garden City.
