I assume the percentage is based on the total of all donations. So population the driving factor.

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

Sure, but Cali has less than 12% of the pupulation but accounts for more than 15% of the donations. Same for NY (6.3% and 12.2%). TX, on the other hand, has about 8% population but only accounts for 6.5% of the donations. Damn libruls.

Sure enough but I wouldn't base everything on three days worth of data. How much did you donate since you're shaming the rest of us?

Why not? That would seem to follow suit for a lot of people, especially on these boards. How is the size of my donation any business of yours?

I was living within 10 miles of the Northridge earthquake epicenter back in 1994. I can remember how surreal it was, and that was in Los Angeles. I can only imagine the level of suffering going on in Haiti.
