I send money every month to the orphanage that's why I said that, but really Oxfam, Red Cross, or Doctors Without Borders are all good. I think there's something you can text to Red Cross to just donate like $10 too.

I agree that it isn't the best way to give. That said, I'd not minimize the impact of Yele like that. Yele does a lot of good work on the ground.

I find it hard to believe most people would not want to aid in the emergency rescue work.

If by Aid we are talking about rebuilding swimming pools and shoring up this bankrupt corrupt system down there.... I am sure the desire for our Govt borrow more money from China to Give it to Haiti will diminish.

I disagree. I think the overall VJ population would tend to show more compassion towards those in other countries, due to the fact that we are all either from other countries or have an SO from another country. I think those who would say no are a vocal minority.

I would be compassionate. But, then, I've actually been to a 3rd world country and know some of the living conditions and limitations.....their lack of heavy equipments, for instance.....
