Right off topic here. I should have never left this thread for the grocery store, or mentioned a roll of duct tape. I now have a stray cat in my bathroom because of this little venture!

As I enter the parking lot, I see several people behind a dumpster. Upon a closer look, I see a cat as well. I go do my shopping leaving the parking lot......why oh why did I have to stop???

Me: You guys trying to catch that cat

Stranger: yes it is in really bad shape

Me: What seems to be wrong with it

Stranger: it is nearly starved to death and someone has put duct tape around its neck (ugh the clencher)

Me: (looking at the sky thinking drive away)Okay well I know someone who can help, and will call her from home

So I go home call a lady our facility deals with, who works for a no kill shelter, hmmmph not home of course! Running around the house looking for a slip lead, cat food, cat nip, cat treats, cat carrier, and leather gloves...off I go to the rescue! I get back they have the cat in a cardboard box, and have called the humane society. Little discussion goes on about what shape the cat is in etc. A guy from the humane society rings back to one of these peoples cell phone and some how I get stuck on the phone, with this guy telling me that if he comes out they have no immediate vet care and they would put the cat down!! Me being logical, ask the people around me if they felt the cat was in bad enough shape to be put down. You all know the answer I got or else I wouldn't have this cat in my bathroom, taking it in to our vets today!!!!

The duct tape is off of its neck but it has scabs all around, skinny as a rail and has at some point used its rather large balls and sprayed my bathroom! I think the cat will be fine, he sat in my lap last night and finally started purring, he has eaten and drank and obviously felt good enough to mark his territory during the night. Little food, water, frontline, dewormer and a snip and tuck at the rear, hopefully I can find him a home. Anybody want a cat?

So I again will not get the last word in, but I did however do my good dead for the year!
