Sept. 28,06 got my own car

August 4th/06 Our First Wedding Anniversary !!

May 24, 2001: Liz and Edgardo meet in Melo, Uruguay

Fall-Winter 2002: Kept in touch through e-mail after Liz returned to US

Feb 2003: Decided we were more than just friends ;)

April-May 2003: Liz visits Edgardo in Uruguay (best 10 days of our lives) :)

June 2003-2005: Edgardo goes to Argentina to fulfil religious commitment

June 23- July 3, 2005: Liz returns to Uruguay, Edgardo proposes and to nobody's surprise Liz accepts :) Pictures taken and paperwork prepared.

July 7, 2005: I-129F sent to Nebraska

August 31, 2005: NOA2 approved (Day 52)

Feb 2006: Applied for AOS and EAD

August 2006: Edgardo gets his Green Card, EAD never arrived

February 2007: Expecting a baby girl

She's in Salt Lake City if I remember correctly. I remember exchanging a couple of e-mails with lizroxy some time ago. We should really think about that Utah get together :)

December 13, 2007 - I-751 submitted to NSC (removing of conditions fun begins...)

December 22 - Received a rejection notice because the form was not "properly signed". Package itself was not returned.

January 1, 2008 - Received packet back from CSC. They are requesting we resubmit the packet (which is already organized by CSC) with a properly signed form.

January 2 - Packet resubmitted to California.

January 12 - NOA1 received (dated 01/07/2008)

January 19 - Biometrics appointment notice received (dated 01/15/2008)

February 1 - Biometrics

March 11 - Approved! Card production ordered (notified via e-mail).

March 20, 2008 - New card arrived in the mail :)

Done until 2018 :)

Congratulations! And thanks for the info about your experience at the SLC office...my husband (from Turkey) and I have our interview coming up there on March 9th. Hope we have as easy/painless an experience as you two did!

Lifting of Conditions Timeline.......

20 Mar 06 Received 2-year green card in the mail!!!

22 Feb 08 Mailed I-751 (Lifting of Conditions) to Nebraska Center address

25 Feb 08 Issued I-797 NOA for receipt of above

11 Mar 08 Issued I-797 NOA for Biometrics

28 Mar 08 Had new biometrics/fingerprints done at SLC application support center

21 Jul 08 Issued Notice that petition was approved and sent card--but we never received the notice or card

02 Jan 09 Checked online status for petition and learned about 7/21/08 approval...immediately called customer service, who sent a report about it to the CA service center (where it had been transferred to from NE)

03 Jan 09 Received email from CA service center saying card sent 7/21/08 was returned by the P.O. and they would resend the card immediately

13 Jan 09 Finally...10-year card successfully arrived in the mail!!!

April 12/11 - biometrics done - I start studying

May - get the letter

June 27 - Interview and oath ceremony - same day

Lifting Conditions

Feb 5/08 - Sent paperwork by USPS - priority

Feb 14/08 - NOA issued

Feb 28/08 - Biometrics letter received for The Bronx Office - have to reschedule

Mar 22/08 - Biometrics rescheduled - LOVE the Saturday appointment!

Feb ?/09 - done!

01/23/2006 - Interview at Washington DC - APPROVED

02/03/2006 - RECEIVED MY PERMENANT RESIDENT CARD

10/31/2008 - Filed N400 at TSC

11/04/2008 - Application Received

11/28/2008 - Fingerprinting done in Norfolk VA

02/23/2009 - Interview in Dallas TX - not enough evidence on marriage -given till 03/23/2009 to submit all the necessary documents

2009 - CITIZEN
