Hi,

We received an RFE for our medical exam as it was 'missing' (I.E. They lost it) and we sent that in about a week ago now. My question is do we receive any kind of notice from USCIS to confirm that its ok and what they were requesting from me and if so how long does this usually take to show up. Also if anyone has experienced this before, how much longer did it take you roughly to receive your EAD and AOS?

Thanks for any future replies

Todd

What is going on with these RFE's for the medicals? They are so contradictory ugh!

Yeah tell me about it. My civil surgeon here in Orlando, confirmed I didn't need another medical but since she took the blood work and tb test already she just filled the vast majority out again but stated that I didn't need it as I already had one in the UK on the I-693. I'm hoping this is ok for them and was just wandering about if they send out a confirmation that this is ok.

But all this RFE business is just unprofessional, I wish I could take my business somewhere else lol

Clarification... you did not have a medical on the I-693 while you were in the UK..... It was on the DS-2053/DS3025

YMMV

I had the medical done in the UK but I required 2 vaccines to complete my immunization chart. I stupidly decided to have it done when I got here. The civil surgeon here recommended that I get a skin test etc just to be safe and she would complete my section 2 part 5 section of the I-693. She didn't charge me for it so that was a good thing

Same thing with me too in getting an RFE for an I-693 (shots were done in the UK and I submitted a DS-3025). I sent the RFE back and around a week later I got an update e-mail from them saying that processing on the case had recommenced, I've had another couple of touches on the case since then but am still waiting for any other notifications. Alas they're unhelpful enough not to tell you whether what was sent back was any good, I guess they'll just send another RFE.
