I was just interested in seeing if anyone was moving to Illinois. It would be cool to know a fellow Canadian who went through the same process and lived close by! :)

03-30-10: Montreal Interview

04-09-10: K1 Visa Received

04-17-10: US Entry (Toronto Pearson Airport to Peoria, Illinois)

06-12-10: Married the love of my life!!

06-25-10: Mailed I-485, I-765, I-131 petitions to Chicago Lockbox

07-01-10: NOA1

07-30-10: Case transferred to California Service Center

08-03-10: Biometrics in Naperville, IL

08-21-10: AP approved

08-28-10: Received AP

08-30-10: EAD approved

09-01-10: Received EAD

09-20-10: Green card approved!!

09-25-10: Green card recieved!!!!

I can't think of anyone on here who lives in Illinois ... most people seem to live in Florida or California. I am moving to Utah and as far as I know I am the only one going there, which is a bummer as I would love have someone in the area to hang out with/talk to about the process.

Package sent to Chicago Lockbox: 06/16/2010

Chicago Lockbox received: 06/18/2010

Received e-mail notification from Chicago Lockbox: 06/24/2010

Hard copy NOA1 received: 06/28/2010

Touch!: 06/28/2010

Received biometrics letter in the mail: 07/16/2010

Attempted walk-in biometrics @ Salt Lake City office -- DENIED: 07/16/2010

2nd attempt at walk-in biometrics @ Salt Lake City office -- SUCCESS!: 07/28/2010

EAD card production ordered!: 08/09/2010

AP approved!: 08/09/2010

2nd EAD card production ordered e-mail: 08/12/2010

AP arrived!: 08/16/2010

3rd EAD card production ordered e-mail: 08/16/2010

EAD arrived!: 08/19/2010

Received interview letter in the mail: 09/13/2010

Green card interview -- APPROVED!: 10/15/2010

Green card received: 10/25/2010

The whole AOS process took almost exactly 4 months ... not too shabby!

I can't think of anyone on here who lives in Illinois ... most people seem to live in Florida or California. I am moving to Utah and as far as I know I am the only one going there, which is a bummer as I would love have someone in the area to hang out with/talk to about the process.

I never noticed the pattern, we are being used for our constant 25 C + weather and lack of any real winter!!!!11

Whereabouts in Illinois? I live in Saint Louis Missouri, just across the river from Illinois, but the Illinois that's across from me isn't near Chicago. hehe

Mephys is from the Chicago area, but she's rarely here anymore. SpiritAlight is also from the Chicago area. Just across the river not too far into Illinois is SonoranSongbird as well.

I'm moving to Peoria, Illinois. 2 1/2 hours south of Chicago! That's cool that there is some people somewhat close by!

10/05/2006 Packet 3 arrived with approval letter.

10/19/2006 Sent Packet 3 back to Montreal

10/20/2006 Montreal receives Packet 3

01/23/2007 Everything currently on hold due to Adam Walsh Act :(

03/14/2007 E-mail from Montreal saying i'm clear from USCIS on Adam Walsh Act

03/22/2007 Got e-mail from Montreal that interview is May 22nd!

05/15/2007 Finally received interview letter

05/22/2007 Approved!!!!

05/28/2007 Visa arrived!!!

05/31/2007 Big move to the US

06/12/2007 SSN arrived

06/22/2007 Welcome letter arrived

06/28/2007 10 year Green Card arrived!!!

05/31/2010 Eligible to apply for citizenship
