Hi,

Just filling out my ssn (SS-5) a couple of Q's...

Line5 - Do i tick legal alien not allowed to work or other???

What evidence do i need to provide?

I am able to apply by mail?

4/14/12- 3rd yr as PR

1/17/12- mailed packet

Biometrics-- waived

4/25/12- interview- passed & took my oath the same day!!-- US Citizen!!!

My N400 Journey took 3months & 8days!:)

There are 4 options for Line 5, Citizenship

Check "Legal Alien Allowed To Work"

Timeline

I just went in with my passport(K1 visa & I-94 inside). They didn't need anything else.

8/2/2021:  Mailed N-400

8/4/2021: N-400 received

8/6/2021:  Biometrics to be reused
3/15/2022:  Interview (successful)

I just brought my passport. Like CDAgirlMI, they only checked my passport bio page, the K-1 visa and the I-94 (it was stapled on the page next to my visa) :) Make sure that when you apply for your SSN that you have at least 15 days left on your I-94 before it expires!

specifically, Part C. Policy - Employment Authorization by Class of Admission

K-1's are listed under:

1. Aliens Work Authorized Without Specific DHS Authorization

* just in case the person you talk to at the SSA office says you can't get a SSN.

I applied for my SSN on Monday. I took my passport, I-94 and birth certificate. She only looked at my passport and I-94 though.

30 May 2008 - Damion visited Cherilyn in the US for 18 days

13 Aug 2008 - Damion visited Cherilyn in the US for 50 days

5 Day vacation in Boston, MA together

29 Oct 2008 - Damion visited Cherilyn in the US for 84 days

24 Dec 2008 DAMION PROPOSED

4 Day vacation in New York together

25 Feb 2009 - Damion visited Cherilyn in the US for 88 days

25 Jun 2009 - Damion visited Cherilyn in the US for 90 days

03 Sep 2009 - I-129F mailed

08 Sep 2009 - NOA1

20 Oct 2009 - NOA2

23 Oct 2009 - NVC Received

27 Oct 2009 - US Embassy London received

20 Nov 2009 - Received my interview date and confirmation letter

15 Dec 2009 - INTERVIEW AT EMBASSY!!!!!!! APPROVED :)

23 Dec 2009 - Flew home for good :)
