How long dooes it takes for completing the case at NVC!!!

Hello everyone, i need some of your advice, once i received the application visa the DS230 and i send it back how long is the average time on completing the case at the NVC???. Because i called the NVC and they told me 6 to 8 weeks but we know they always tell you more than really takes

Haydee, I am not sure about others but my CR1 case was approved in 3 weeks after sending backing all the paperwork. The guy I spoke to was really nice and he told me it all depends on their work load. He told me the normal response is 6 to 8 weeks but it should be done in 2 to 3 weeks. This is back in March when I called. NVC is quite quick in processing the paperwork. It will be another long wait when it is approved and sent to the foreign country us embassy/consulate.
