Hey,

I am filling my I-864 form out, and in section 5 pg14, it is trying to figure out the size of your household... i am filing as we are entering under K-1 visa, so the person adjusting her status and needing sponsoring is (or will be) my wife...

so it asks ..

Your Household Size - DO NOT COUNT ANYONE TWICE

Persons you are sponsoring in this affidavit:

a. Enter the number you entered on line 10.

Persons NOT sponsored in this affidavit:

b. Yourself.

c. If you are currently married, enter "1" for your spouse.

So i have to select "1" for a & b but if I enter again "1" for spouse i have entered her twice... very confusing..

any thoughts????

Don't enter the immigrant on the spouse line. This form is for many applications. If you were sponsoring your mother to come to America, then you would count your spouse as part of your household. But since immigrant = spouse you can't put her twice.

We have a UK AOS thread going if you'd like to ask experienced people your questions over there. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showforum=131 Page 6 has a list I made of what to send in.

Lines "b - g" are for counting persons NOT being sponsored. As your spouse is being sponsored she would not be listed/counted in this section.
