What Type of Visa is This?

This may seem like a silly question but my British husband is getting his Massachusetts drivers license and one of the questions on the form is---what kind of visa do you have?

He lives here and has his green card and he came on a K-i visa. The form says Do you have a I-94? He doesn't know what to put on the form. Thank you.

I haven't seen the form, but it sounds like the question is only applicable to non-immigrant residents, like students on F visas or workers on H visas. Your husband is a legal permanent resident. If the instructions don't give any specific guidance, and you can't get any help from the department of motor vehicles, then just write "LPR" and his "A" number on the form.

I agree, he is considered a resident now, should be treated the same as a citizen.

Thank you very much for the speedy replies. I'll run in and tell him -- he's all excited about getting his US license -- having driven professionally and involved in cars and racing all his life. No, he won't race here, that was in his younger days! LOL
