Vermonters do not stop anything for snow! We had 32" last Saturday and everything was open Monday morning. We drove up into the mountains DURING the storm to go skiing, you DO know how awesome the skiing is during a 32" powder snowstorm...right? They don't make enough snow to slow down Vermonters!!!!!!

I worked at Stoweflake. I had to drive from Burlington to Stowe. There would be deadly patches of ice and snow on 89, And then it took forever to get to Stowe on 100. I do not miss that. Haha.

Vermont has got it's head up it's own ####. I lived there for awhile. Now I live in SC. It's funny because you would think that between these two states there would be this stark contrast but, nope. PPl in VT hate outsiders, and think their sh!t doesn't stink. I had to endure how much more "progressive" VT is then other states. It the same sentiment in SC except change the "progressive" to "conservative" and after awhile it all kinda seems the same.

Don't get me wrong I love VT, It's a great state as is SC in their own respects. But both of these tiny states hardly understand, or care what the rest of America is and doesn't care to look past their own doorsteps on many different issues.

It's always these small populated states that want to secede. Let them secede. After a while when their economy collapses because the only resources they have is cheese, maple syrup, and micro brews they will be happy to rejoin the union.

Hey! I resemble that remark! And we have nearly ALL the maple syrup and will hold it hostage until you give us what we want and you will have to use that High Fructose Corn Syrup stuff in the meantime! So there! Not to mention awesome chedder cheese!

I could supply most of them with guns and ammunition myself.

I used to go to the Cabot Annex on my lunch break to eat the free cheese samples if I was broke. They knew me by name there.

I bet Canada would backstab you and break the maple syrup embargo.

They would take it through Smugglers Notch.

Gary, if you drink beer (which I assume you do bc you're from VT) What is your favorite micro brew there?

89 is the GOOD road! I have to drive 26 miles on Rte 2 after exiting 89! The wind is so strong in the islands the snow drifts across the road as soon as they plow it! Not to mention huge waves breaking over the bridges and freezing (the lake never really completely freezes, it is too big and deep). 4WD/AWD is a way of life. Suburu Outbacks have been declared the "State Car of Vermont".

Yeah, those Quebecois would probably take advantage of us! All friendly to your face but in a crisis they would undersell our syrup...the Quislings! They are the only other place with any substansial syrup anyway (that stuff they pass off in New York would never sell) Who knows, Vermont (abbreviated French for "Green Mountain") may just join up with Quebec anyway and tell both the US and Canada to take a hike and hold ALL the syrup in the world hostage. Yeah! :wow: Did I think of that by myself? enough of us speak French here anyway, so why not? Embraisse mon derriere!

Sorry I do not drink beer. No kidding

It's all good. I think VT def has the best beers. Although everyone goes on about Shed's beer I did not care for it too much. There is a brewery called "Rainbow Trout" that made a Chocolate Oatmeal stout that was probably one of the best beers I have ever had.

If VT and Quebec joined forces would there be a "Club Super Sex" in Burlington?

 Maybe. Hey, Alla gets a kick out of St. Catherine Street! (but I think Club Suoper sex is on Maisonneuve) We always go for a walk through the redlight district whenever we are downtown, it fascinates her, really, and she even asks the hookers "how much could I make doing this?" :help: and she sends photos to her friends in Ukraine. We have nothing like that here. It is the strangest thing. Vermont has NO laws against such stuff, it is even legal to be naked in Vermont in public and skinny dipping and naked people riding bikes to protest...well, something that needs protesting...are common. But not a strip club anywhere!!!!!!!!!! Even the "Hooter's" closed for lack of interest. Not sure if it lack of interest in Vermont "woodchuck women", could be, I think some are mis-counted as bears and moose by DNR aerial surveys.

I know Alla has some photos of "Club Super Sex" she has sent overseas!
