I don't think I will be here on Valentine's day. That is the same week at Tierra's February Vacation and we will be driving down to DC.. Louis will be here working. We will have to reschedule that holiday.

I hope all is well with each and everyone of you. I wanted to post this information because I know the love and support we have on the forum. And I would like to think we do more than just talk it! Faith is an action word "You have to do something".

Please take a moment and say a prayer for them . It changes things.

Even if you are not a Follower of My God, Just say these 2 words for the situation in Hati and it will be just as powerful.

HAVE MERCY!!!

Even if you only send a Tube of toothpast and a bar of soap. You did something. And UPS is making it free!!!

I am not sure if this is true or not. We heard it on the Radio this morning!

AMERICAN AIRLINES is taking doctors and nurses to Haiti for free. Please call 212-697-9767.

UPS is shipping packages under 50lbs to Haiti for free. If you have anything you want to donate, UPS is the place to take it.~~Please repost.

Keep in Mind WHAT Happened in Hati could at ANY TIME Happen In Jamaica!

Thanks so much for posting this Journee I have so many donations I need to send this will help us immensely!

God bless!

The earthquake that hit Haiti yesterday delivered a devastating blow to the island nation. Disasters such as this remind us of our own vulnerability to the forces of nature. At UPS, we’re committed to delivering aid and supporting relief efforts around the world. Through The UPS Foundation, we’re giving $1 million (USD) in cash and in-kind aid to help the people of Haiti.

We’ve also noticed a surge of interest and concern online as people search for ways to help. On Twitter, some have mistakenly shared a rumor that UPS will ship for free any package under 50 lbs. to Haiti. The destruction of roads and communications networks means our own shipping services to Haiti are on hold. Rather than offer free shipping to individual donors, UPS directs its aid through relief agencies.

However, there are several options available to offer your help:

Slmuel Dalembert of the Sixers is from Haiti and he is sending a big donation. For those who attend the sixers game tonight he is matching the donation as well.

I cant talk about Haiti anymore but it just makes me extremely sad...and I feel helpless... I have to think about other things...

I just got this email from my job...since they match this is where I will be donating.

Dear Colleagues,

On January 12, the island of Haiti experienced a catastrophic earthquake--leaving behind much death and devastation. Many of you have asked what Monsanto is going to do in response to this disaster.

We are activating our Global Disaster Match Program immediately. Monsanto Fund will match any employee gift up to $1,000 in response to the Haiti disaster, given to the following organizations:

• American Red Cross

• United Nations Foundation Central Emergency Response Program

• Friends of the World Food Program

You can find the all the information you need to make your donations, and register your donation for a match from Monsanto, at http://w3nadom.monsanto.com/DisasterRelief/Disaster.nsf/Home. Additionally, donations to this Global Disaster Match Program will not count against the $5,000 limit on matching donations for U.S. employees.

Monsanto Company will also be donating $50,000 to the American Red Cross for Disaster Relief--on top of any matching funds.

In situations like this, when we see once again how compassionate and motivated Monsanto employees are, it is apparent why Monsanto is such a great place to work. You are the heartbeat of our company, and you have shown again and again how much you care about people--each other, our customers and people we will never meet.

Thank you for all you do. And thank you for caring so much about the world we live in, and the people who share this planet with us.

Just this on the UPS site

Service to Haiti suspended; UPS provides aid

Service Update

UPS is providing financial support and emergency logistics assistance to help survivors of the devastating earthquake in Haiti. We are working with relief organizations to transport much needed supplies and food to the area. If you wish to donate to the relief efforts, UPS encourages you to work directly with the following organizations:

The American Red Cross - www.redcross.org

CARE - www.care.org

UNICEF - www.unicef.org

UPS is not accepting shipments from individuals or local organizations due to the logistics challenges in Haiti. Service will resume as soon as conditions allow. Shipments to Haiti made prior to the earthquake are temporarily being held at UPS facilities in Miami.

The UPS package guarantee does not apply when transportation networks are disrupted.

any plans for the weekend?

any plans for valentine's day?

Anyone?

Believe it or not, I don't.

Daughter wants to go to see a movie and me to drive all her friends to the mall.

Need to have son fill out scholarship paperwork.

I am going to firehouse for a while tonight.

Other then that......nothing concrete.

I am sure I have Valentine's Day plans. Will most likely be a surprise though. Cause, I love surprises.

Life's just a crazy ride on a run away train

You can't go back for what you've missed

So make it count, hold on tight find a way to make it right

You only get one trip

So make it good, make it last 'cause it all flies by so fast

You only get one trip
