Okay ladies I was just yapping with Island regarding my first car...such horrible memories...here is a picture and yes it was this color. What were your first cars?

JG are you actually telling me you like that shade of green?

Ells I would have thought I was stylin in your car. My car was a 1975 Ford Maverick and I would have done anything to have a car that was made in the 80's.

Yes. He actually takes time off work to surprise me when I get home. My situation is A LOT different then yours though. And, yeah, sometimes I have to say it a few times; but again, different situations.

If it's not right, I let it go. As long as the house isn't going to burn down or something equally as catastrophic, as long as it's done, it's done. I'll do it right the next time.

Just wondering if anyone else gets frustrated like I do. I also know it's a real shift for him going from 'country living' to a completely different living space but after 7 months, I wonder why things aren't 'clicking' more.

Irie the color isn't so bad now but when you are in high school and driving that thing it is a different story.

Loved your ride.

Ells, I warned you......it takes a LONG time to adjust. I would say years and years. Don't be so hard on yourself for wondering though. That's normal.

 Well I've only had 3 cars in my life...they have all been red...my first car was a 1998 Hyundai Accent! I miss that lil' rass car...it was totaled like 3 months after I paid if off!

My second car was a Nissan Altima and that was passed down to my baby brother almost two years ago! It's still riding out! He's a Senior in high school this year so he's graduation present is a done deal

My first car was this:   My Godfather had restored it for me - he bought it on the day I was born:

1969-ford-mustang-convertible-15000-usa-21122364.jpg

Then my sister totalled six weeks after I got it

So my Grandma gave me this:

Although it was not in that good of shape - it had holes in the floor

My first car was an even deeper green 'vette. Um, Chevette it was. I bought it for $300 and sold it for $300 to my brother. There was no heat in the damn thing. Brother took out back seat and put in these monster speakers that took up whole seat area. It was hilarious to watch it thumping down the street.

:rofl::rofl:

Yes he helps around the house he is a clean freak. He mostly does it on his own but if I do ask it is because I don't feel like doing it. Like I asked him to do the dishes last night after dinner. If he doesn't do it quite right I honestly don't say anything because he really did try...for example when he unloads the dishwasher he never puts things back in the right spot and I have to go hunting for things. To me I am just happy that he emptied it and I didn't have to do it. You have to pick your battles in life I am really learning this. It might be that I have kids and have learned to relax with it because if I didn't I would be in the mental institution by now.

Yes, I need to learn to pick my battles. But it is frustrating to be trying to find something in the kitchen & can't so you can't do a thing until you do! I always wonder how he can get something out of a certain place & not know how to put it back in that same place! Don't know how many times I've dug around trying to find a can opener!

Ok I am a neat freak... Louis... not so much.

When he 1st got here and didnt work he cooked... he cleaned ... he was AWESOME!

Well he got a job and settled in. If I ask him to do something he will do it. I hate taking the trash out and doing the dishes so he will do that.

I have to "clean clean" cause he wont get the corners....LOL

Oh he will do any of the "fix-it" things too.. I like that.

I would rather clean things myself and he knows that. He is a "will do it tomorrow" and I am "doing it right now" kind of person. ;)

Yeah, I'm also into doing it now vs. later, especially when it really only takes a half a minute at the most many times. Lehi was great when he first got here too....now he definitely is getting comfortable too. After last night, I'm going to take care of MY stuff & let him take care of his stuff & see how that works out for a while. Just experimenting cause I'm sick of nagging.

nothing really happened...i just have a very low tolerance for stupidity and everyone seems to be a dumb #### today....this one dude at my job specifically...grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Me too....can't stand stupid people. Tell us what the dude is doing....maybe we can give you ideas on how to annoy him back! LOL!

Ells I would have thought I was stylin in your car. My car was a 1975 Ford Maverick and I would have done anything to have a car that was made in the 80's.

My car was a '79 so only 4 years newer than yours! It ran good for a long time though....Toyotas are good like that!

My parents had a Tempo in the mid-80s too & after that, they vowed to never own another Ford for the rest of their lives. Glad you got out safe!
