I am preparing a 129 petition ... my initial marriage ended in a divorce over 20 years ago and then my second marriage ended when my wife died of brain cancer about 2 years ago. Do I need to provide a copy of the divorce decree as well as the death certificate of my recent wife or just the death certificate shwoing the termination of my most recent marriage? Thank You.

I would provide all. They can easily check your previous marriage (even from 20 years ago)

and you would hate to get an RFE based on that.

The instructions are clear on this. Make sure though that you are reading the instructions for the I-129F, not the I-129.

You must prove you are legally able to marry so need to submit the appropriate evidence
