Hello everyone !!

My interview is in 20 days and I just got the financial informations from my fiance...

Anyway... I am hoping it is ok because if it isn't I will have to give him the notice and be ready for some bad mood :P j/k

He sent me the employer's letter, his paystubs, the affidavit of support notarized... so far it is all ok.. now my question is.. he sent only the W2's and I have a funny feeling it is not enough ... :unsure:

now guys... is it enough or not ? :cry:

Hello everyone !!

Depends on the embassy. For instance Manila requires most recent years tax return. But some others do not. I would take a look at the embassy website for your country.

Actually, on packet 4 (and I just read it again to be sure before I posted here), they instruct us to come with the federal tax returns for the past year. You won't need them for the past 3.

I only offer advice - not even legal. Just the plain and simple kind.

Lisz,

The tax returns are only necessary if your Fiance is Self-employed/ Owns his own business. The embaixada document lists all of the possible types of proof that can be brought, but that does not mean that you must, or even should, bring all of those things listed.

You have the letter from the employer, and that is really what they are going to be looking at, as well as his bank statements. I really wouldn't worry too much about this one.

Just in case he doesn't get it from IRS, he can order the tax transcript from Accuverify. I did this after trying to get my transcripts for weeks and weeks. It cost me $20 but I got them in 24 hours by email. I finally received the IRS ones about 6 weeks after my husband's interview :angry:
