Hello,

We've been playing a very frustrating waiting game with the London Embassy. After our approval in September, my fiancée never received the papers from the embassy. So we waited, and waited, and finally gave the Visa Center (in the US) a call. All they said was “we sent it, we have no record of London opening it, so call them.” So we sent an email to London as their customer service told us to do. Their reply: sorry, here's the next set of forms he just needs to send them.

He printed out the forms and mailed them. Weeks of waiting and nothing. We emailed them again, and they said “sorry, didn't get them.” This time he (fiancée) emailed them as an attachment. A few days later we finally got confirmation that they have our paperwork and they will contact him when an interview opens up.

We've heard this story before. He emailed the embassy asking for a rough time frame. They didn't say “booked for __ months expect a call in ___month.” I'm feeling a little discouraged by this email and they haven't written back for our question yet. Does anyone have a time frame they are working on? Or know somewhere I can get one? Last time they said “wait for us to contact you” they lost our paperwork and we had to contact them for them to realize it.

We just want an interview date already.

-January 2007: Met while studying abroad

-June 9 2009: NOA 1 Petition Received

-September 15 2009: NOA 2 APPROVED

-October 27 2009: Official proposal!

-January 29 2010: Medical

-February 5 2010: Interview Date
